USS, Canada deal to remain confidential
The secret deal between US Steel and the government of Canada will remain secret, a judge for the Ontario Superior Court of Justice ruled this week.
The United Steelworkers and the city of Hamilton petitioned the court to release the details of a December 2011 settlement between US Steel and the Canadian government regarding US Steel’s allegedly broken promise to maintain production at its former Hamilton subsidiary, US Steel Canada.
