USS brings Great Lakes hot-strip mill back online
The hot-strip mill at US Steel’s Great Lakes Works in Ecorse and River Rouge, Michigan, is back up and running following an explosion that occurred 31 July, Kallanish understands.
A company spokeswoman confirmed that the 80-inch mill is now operational. No definitive cause for the 31 July incident has been revealed, though the company said at the time that an investigation was on-going.
