Usiminas hits iron ore production record in 2021
Mineração Usiminas (Musa), the mining arm of Brazilian steelmaker Usinas Siderúrgicas de Minas Gerais (Usiminas), set an iron ore production record in 2021, Kallanish learns from the company.
Output reached a new annual high surpassing 9 million tonnes. The final volume will be disclosed on 11 February 2022, when Usiminas will release its fourth-quarter and full annual report. During 2020, iron ore output was 8.73mt.
