Usiminas to invest $53 million in steel/mining projects
Brazilian steelmaker Usiminas will enhance its presence in Minas Gerais by investing in steel and mining projects, the company says in a statement monitored by Kallanish.
Usiminas has signed a protocol of intent with Minas Gerais State for new investments in the production of iron ore, flat rolled steel and slabs. The plan foresees the generation of 330 direct jobs in 2019,” Usiminas president Sergio Leite says.
