Usiminas crude steel production rises, profit drops
Brazilian steelmaker Usinas Siderúrgicas de Minas Gerais (Usiminas) saw its net profit decrease by -51.6% on-year in the first three months of 2019. The company’s crude steel output rose on-year during the period and compared to the fourth quarter of 2018. Meanwhile, iron ore production fell, the company says in its latest results monitored by Kallanish.
