US year-to-date steel imports slip again in October
US imports of steel appear to have slipped again year-to-date in October based on preliminary Census Bureau data, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
In the first 10 months of 2018, the US imported 29.44 million net tons, 22.08m nt of which was finished steel, down -10.6% and -13.4% respectively versus last year’s corresponding period.
