US weekly steel production up on-year
US raw steel production for the week ended 24 June was 1.76 million short tons with a capability utilisation rate of 78.1%, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute. The figure represents a 1.2% increase from the week of 24 June, 2022, when production was 1.738m st and utilisation was 79.6%.
Raw steel production increased by 0.9% since last week, when production was 1.743m st and utilisation was 77.5%.
