US trucking index slips in September
US for-hire trucking tonnage appears to have dipped in September, Kallanish learns from the American Trucking Association.
The association’s seasonally adjusted for-hire tonnage index fell -5.8% in September after climbing 5% in August.
The index is down -0.7% versus September 2015, but is up 3% year-to-date.
