US truck tonnage falls in February
US for-hire truck tonnage posted a small dip in February, Kallanish learns from the American Trucking Association.
February’s trucking index fell by -0.2% after a 2.5% rise in January. For-hire truck tonnage serves as a bellwether for the economy as a whole, as more than 70% of all domestic cargo is carried by truck.
