US total steel imports rise in October
US total steel imports appear to have risen in October, though finished steel imports slipped, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
The US imported a total of 2.177 million short tons of steel in October, 1.479m st of which was finished – up 14.5% and down -3.5%, respectively, from September.
