US total steel imports rise in September
US total steel imports appear to have risen in September, though finished steel imports fell on-month, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
Citing data from the US Department of Commerce, the institute puts total steel import applications for September at 1.514 million short tons - up 17.3% from the final recorded figure for August.
