US total imports rise from December to January

US total imports appear to have climbed from December to January, though finished steel imports declined, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.  Citing Census Bureau data, the institute puts total January imports at 2.422 million short tons, 1.239m st of which was finished.
