US total imports fall in March
US total imports appear to have dropped in March, though finished steel imports rose by an almost equal but opposite measure, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US total imports reached 2.271 million short tons in March, 1.861m st of which was finished. That’s down -6.6% and up 6.7%, respectively, from February’s import tallies.
