US surge leads Turkey's May CR flats exports
Turkey's exports of cold rolled (CR) flat steel soared 62% year-on-year to 39,822t in May as shipments to the US jumped. The total average value of these exports dropped to $642/tonne from $1,414/t a year earlier, Kallanish calculates from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
April's CR flats exports were 9.6% up on-year to 25,728t, after a 117% y-o-y surge in March.
