US structural tube prices head up
US structural tube producers are lifting prices roughly in-line with recent sheet price hikes, Kallanish learns from customer letters.
Atlas Tube and Nucor Tube appear to be leading the increase with a $40/short ton base price hike. Nucor’s letter assigns the increase to all hollow structural sections, pipe, piling and mechanical tube products as a “... result of continued strong demand and increased order entry levels.”
