US Steel commissions DR pellet production plant
Pittsburg, Pennsylvania-based steel producer US Steel celebrated last week the commissioning of its direct reduction-grade pellet plant, Kallanish understands.
US Steel invested $150 million to realise the production of DR-grade pellets. The facility is expected to deliver an estimated 4 million short tons/year of pellets. The first shipment has been confirmed.
