US steel shipments rise in June
US steel shipments rose 3.8% from May to June, according to the American Iron and Steel Institute.
June shipments stand at 7.66 million short tons, while May’s shipments were 7.38m st, Kallanish reports.
Additionally, year on year, June’s shipments are up 6.8% from June 2015’s 7.17m st.
Year-to-date, shipments are up 0.8% at 36.51m st.
