US shipments increase on-year in February
US shipments of steel were up 0.4% from the prior year in February, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute. In February 2020, US steel mills shipped a total of 7.771 million short tons, which is an increase of about 27,352st from total shipments of 7.744m st in February 2019.
Compared to the month prior, February shipments were down -9% from January shipments of 8.535m st.
