US steel shipments drop in September
US steel mill shipments fell both month-on-month and year-on-year in September, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
September shipments totalled 6.769 million short tons, down -10.3% from August and -4.9% from September 2015.
Both hot-dipped galvanized and cold-rolled sheet shipments fell -8% from August to September, while hot-rolled shipments fell -13%.
