US Steel reduces white-collar labour force
US Steel has confirmed that it has laid off an unspecified number of white collar workers as part of its on-going cost restructuring efforts, Kallanish understands.
“We continue to adjust our headcount to align with our operational and business needs,” a company spokeswoman said. “The impacted employees were non-represented [… by unions].”
