U.S. Steel reconsiders Fairfield EAF project in 2019
US Steel's 1.6 million-short ton electric arc furnace (EAF) project in Fairfield, Alabama may be back on the table in 2019, Kallanish reports. During a 2018 earnings conference call, ceo David Burritt noted that several milestones have been met, making the project viable this year.
