US steel production falls ahead of holiday
US raw steel production fell both on-week and on-year in the week ended 23 November, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stands at 1.861 million short tons at 80.4% capability utilisation, down -2.2% from last year, when utilisation was 81.2%, and down -0.8% from last week, when utilisation was 81.1%.
