US steel production dips for second consecutive week

US raw steel production declined slightly during the week ending 30 October, 2021, as mills operated at around 84% of capability, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute. Mill output reached 1.86 million short tons during the week, a 0.5% drop from the week prior, but a 20.1% increase over the year-ago level.
