US steel production climbs on week, on year
US raw steel production inched up both on week and on year in the week ended 18 February, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stands at 1.77 million short tons at 74.6% capability utilisation, up 1.6% from last week, when capability utilisation was 73.4%, and up 3.3% from the equivalent week last year, when capability utilisation was 73.1%.
