US Steel posts Q1 net loss
US Steel recorded a first-quarter loss of $180 million due to complications in its flat-rolled division and charges associated with shutting down some of its tubular capacity, Kallanish reports.
The company lost $340m in Q1 2016 and $105m in Q4. The tubular-related charges in Q1 totalled $35m.
