US Steel moves up $40/st on sheet
US Steel is leading a new push for higher sheet base prices, Kallanish learns from a company announcement.
In a customer letter dated 26 August, the company says its base prices for all spot sheet products will increase by a minimum of $40/short ton, effective immediately.
This is additive to the $40/st increase announced on 21 July.
