US Steel lifts sheet prices
US Steel has bumped sheet prices up by another $30/short ton, Kallanish learns from a customer letter.
The increase is effective immediately and additive to the still-extant $40/st increase.
Kallanish currently puts hot-rolled at $520-560/st with cold-rolled at $720-760/st. Buy-side sources indicate that this puts US Steel’s list prices close to $590/st for hot-rolled and $790/st for cold-rolled.
