US Steel Kosice shipments rise 8%
US Steel Kosice (USSK) increased shipments 8% on-year to 1.11 million net tons in the third quarter. Capacity utilisation surged 12 percentage points to 102%, taking raw steel output up 13% to 1.28m nt.
If market conditions, including spot prices, demand, import volumes and inventories, stay at current levels, USSK should achieve stronger results in full-year 2016 than in 2015. This is according to parent company US Steel in a report seen by Kalla…
