US steel imports rise in October
US steel imports appear to have risen in October, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
Citing data from the US Department of Commerce, the institute records total October import licenses at 2.56 million short tons, 1.519m st of which was finished.
Total imported tons rose by 34.6% from September, though the finished steel portion fell by -0.9%.
