US Steel faces new fines for Clairton emissions
US Steel has been fined over $700,000 by the Allegheny County Health Department (ACHD) due to alleged continued emissions violations at its Clairton, Pennsylvania, coke works, Kallanish reports.
A fine of $707,568 was levied on 1 April by ACHD, marking the third time the company has been fined since June 2018.
The fine addresses alleged violations of air quality standards at the Clairton plant in the third and fourth quarters of 2018.
