US Steel faces new fines for Clairton emissions

US Steel has been fined over $700,000 by the Allegheny County Health Department (ACHD) due to alleged continued emissions violations at its Clairton, Pennsylvania, coke works, Kallanish reports. A fine of $707,568 was levied on 1 April by ACHD, marking the third time the company has been fined since June 2018.
