US Steel faces new Clairton emissions fine
US Steel has been fined $337,670 for emission violations at its Clairton, Pennsylvania, coke works unrelated to the company’s on-going repairs of the facility due to a 24 December fire, Kallanish reports.
The fine was issued by the Allegheny County Health Department on 10 May due to “... continued emissions problems at Clairton Coke Works facility for the first quarter of 2019,” according to a county release.
