US Steel completes sale of Stelco to Bedrock
United States Steel Corporation (US Steel) confirms to Kallanish that it has finalised an agreement with Bedrock Industries for the sale and transition of ownership of U. S. Steel Canada, Inc. (USSC) to Bedrock. The transaction was finalised following requisite court and other approvals on 30 June, as had been foreseen (see Kallanish passim).The Canadian ex-subsidiary is now operating under its pre-US Steel name of Stelco.
