US Steel to close Lorain seamless line
US Steel is mulling a permenant closure of one of its seamless tube lines in Lorain, Ohio, Kallanish learns from local media reports.
Citing a letter sent to United Steelworkers members at the plant as well as union leaders, the reports indicate that US Steel plans to close its Number 4 seamless line by March. The line was idled in April 2015.
