US Steel Canada requests creditor protection extension
Newly independent US Steel Canada (USSC) needs more time to gather customers and develop a plan for its eventual sale, according to documents filed with the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.
The court previously granted USSC a stay of proceedings and payments in its on-going reorganisation under creditor protection that was slated to expire 10 December, Kallanish understands.
