US Steel asks for action on water permit
US Steel is asking a judge to force the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) to take immediate action on the company’s outstanding water permit renewal for its Minnesota Minntac iron ore facility, Kallanish understands.
The filed writ of mandamus, if approved, would require the agency to take specific actions to address the company’s permit renewal, which has been tied up since 1992.
