US Steel announces further layoffs in cost-cutting plan
US Steel plans to lay off about 75 of its white-collar employees as part of its on-going cost-cutting Carnegie Way program, Kallanish confirms with spokeswoman Sarah Cassella.
The employees in the company’s accounting division will be replaced with outside contractors, Cassella says.
