US HRC price slips as sources' assessments diverge
US hot rolled and cold rolled coil prices are hotly contested among market sources this week, with HRC pricing exhibiting additional signs of weakening in some regions.
A mill source tells Kallanish: “The market is a mess to get a handle on. We did not transact on many spot prices this week. We did have some tons selling for over $950/short ton. I know the market is varied for sure. Up north seems cheaper than down south.”
