US sheet prices achieve first increase since April
Prices of hot and cold rolled coils in the US have made modest gains this week in tandem with mill increases, though demand is still quiet, sources tell Kallanish.
HRC is now transacting within the range of $640-670/short ton, an increase from last week’s range of $630-650/st. CRC prices are now $1,000-1,020/st, up from $990-1,000/st. For both weekly assessments, it is the first positive week since April.
