US sheet prices hold, market waiting on UAW
Prices for hot rolled and cold rolled coil in the US remain firm this week as sources wait to understand how a potential strike by the United Autoworkers (UAW) will impact their businesses, Kallanish understands.
“Nothing much is happening in the market. Everyone is waiting for what will unfold with the UAW in the next 36 hours. And buyers are awaiting the events of the next two days before they think about placing new spot orders,” a mill source says…
