US sheet mills make new pricing push
US domestic sheet producers are raising prices by $40/short ton, Kallanish reports.
US Steel kicked off the latest pricing push on Thursday, followed immediately by Nucor. The $40/st hike is effective immediately for all hot-rolled, cold-rolled, and hot-dipped galvanized substrate products.
Prior to the increase, Kallanish put hot-rolled pricing at $580-640/st with cold-rolled at $790-840/st. All prices are ex-works, domestic mill.
