US sheet mills announce $30/st increase
At least six domestic sheet steel mills have announced base price increases, Kallanish learns from customer letters and market sources.
AK Steel, US Steel, NLMK, California Steel Industries, ArcelorMittal and Nucor are all moving up by a minimum of $30/short ton, effective immediately.
“We believe the market has hit its low,” says one buy-side source.
