US sheet market rebounds, auto strike a wildcard
US sheet sources tell Kallanish that the minimum prices of hot and cold rolled coil have increased this week. However, market sources express concerns regarding the targeted, evolving United Auto Workers (UAW) strike.
HRC is now at $680-700/short ton, up from last week’s $650-680/st, according to market participants. Cold rolled coil prices are now up to $940-980/st from $910-950/st last week.
