US scrap prices settle mostly sideways
US scrap prices started settling on 6 October and have closed mostly sideways in October trading.
Although most market participants were expecting a stronger trend for US domestic scrap prices in early September, predictions have turned negative since then, with softening export prices on the East and West Coasts.
