US scrap market sentiment remains weak
Sentiment in the US scrap market remains weak ahead of October trading, amid uncertainty.
Although numerous factors are impacting trade, two of them will have the biggest impact on prices: the growing automotive strike, followed by mills’ outages.
Most market participants expect shredded scrap prices to remain the strongest, with a sideways trend, while a decline in cut grades and prime scrap is seen as inevitable.
