US raw steel weekly output downticks again
US raw steel production slipped slightly week-on-week and but maintained its year-on-year rise in the week ended 1 December 2018, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stood at 1.892 million net tons at 80.7% capability utilisation. That is down -0.7% from the previous week, when utilisation was 81.3%, and up 11.1% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 73.0%.
