US raw steel stumbles on week
US raw steel production slipped on week but remains up on year, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stands at 1.895 million short tons at 81.4% capability utilisation, down -0.4% from last week, when utilisation was 81.8%, but up 6.5% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 76%.
