US raw steel slips on week
US raw steel production in the week ended 31 July fell week on week but remains up from last year, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stands at 1.769 million short tons at 75.9% capability utilisation, down -0.2 from last week, when utilisation was 76.1%, but up 6.1% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 71.3%.
