US raw steel slips on week

US raw steel production fell slightly on week but remains up on year, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute. Production stands at 1.76 million short tons at 74.3% capability utilisation, down -0.6% from the previous week, when capability utilisation was 74.7%, but up 3.8% from the equivalent week last year, when capability utilisation was 72.5%.
