US raw steel slides on week, year
US raw steel production fell both on-week and on-year in the week ended 7 September, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production reached 1.835 million short tons during the week at 78.8% capability utilisation – down -0.8% from the previous week, when utilisation was 79.5%, and down -1.7% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 79.6%.
