US raw steel slides slightly on week
US raw steel production fell slightly in the week ended 10 November, but remains up significantly from the equivalent week last year, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US production is at 1.915 million short tons at 81.7% capacity utilisation, down -0.1% from the previous week, when utilisation was 81.8%, but up 12.1% from last year, when utilisation was 73.3%.
